A Nature‑Loving Couple’s Woodland Wedding Filled with Love, Adventure, and Play
Fiona (she/her) and Jeremy (he/him) always dreamed of a romantic woodland wedding, surrounded by nature and all their favourite people. However, on the morning of their big day rain showers had us worried it might not happen. But just when we thought Mother Nature had other plans, the clouds parted and sunshine streamed through the trees. We made a mad dash to set everything up in time— and it all came together beautifully.
From the very beginning of planning, Fiona and Jeremy were clear about their wedding values: they wanted a celebration that reflected their love of adventure, play, and each other. The ceremony, led by Fiona’s mum (a pastor), was incredibly personal and heartfelt— filled with lots of laughter and a few tears.
Fiona wasn’t sure she was a “white wedding dress” kind of bride. After some reflection, she embraced what felt most her— a shimmering gold glitter gown that was anything but traditional. She looked radiant, and most importantly, felt completely herself.
In true Fiona and Jeremy style, the fun didn’t stop there. Their good friend surprised them with a tandem bike, which they promptly rode around in their wedding outfits, grinning from ear to ear. Guests joined the celebration with glitter, temporary tattoos, and a packed dance floor that kept the party going late into the night.
If you’re planning your own outdoor wedding, take a note from Fiona and Jeremy: let your values guide you, choose what makes you feel most yourself, and don’t be afraid to add a little playful magic to your day.
